Training and Consultation
Creative Measures

Creative Measures is the training and consultation arm of Myrtle Theatre Company. We are able to use our transferable expertise in theatre practice and knowledge of both public and private sectors to help a range of individuals and organisations in effective communication skills and presentation techniques.

Using practical, non-threatening exercises, and accessible and sustainable techniques, we work in a creative and responsible way to:

  • Develop breath control and effective vocal techniques
  • Develop awareness of body language and effective non-verbal communication
  • Develop skills in the delivery of information in an engaging and interesting way
  • Develop greater understanding of best practice in effective communication
  • Develop strategies in managing interaction with clients and colleagues in a variety of circumstances
  • Equip participants with the capacity to continue to build on skills and techniques by providing follow-up exercises which will promote self-development
 

 

We offer group sessions or individual tuition, and create bespoke workshops tailored to the needs of the client.

Clients include chief executives of national organisations, lecturers, service managers and directors, government officials, senior health consultants, education practitioners, children’s service practitioners and architectural practices.

The work is delivered nationally through one-off sessions, on-going support, and residential training schools.

Consultation

As Myrtle Theatre Company we use theatre to consult with children, young people and a range of adults on services and government policies. Through Creative Measures we are able to expand these methods and use our expertise as consultants in fields as diverse as developing new structures and inclusive practice in learning departments of Theatre Companies to developing frameworks for the provision of multi-use buildings.
